The veil has many hooks to deal with.

Week 5: The Deceptive Veil Hiding the Divine Essence

Day 2: Grace Revealing Parental Unity

Today’s Veil to Pierce

Building on yesterday’s unveiling of the infinite source, we now contemplate grace revealing parental unity—the intimate, nurturing aspect of the divine that the deceptive veil often conceals behind images of stern authority or indifference. This veil distorts by projecting human flaws onto the divine, creating illusions of a judgmental or absent parent, which the false self uses to justify separation or fear. In our reflections, this revelation counters such deceptions, echoing the father’s compassionate run in Luke 15, where grace pierces the veil to disclose a parental unity that is tender, inclusive, and eternally embracing.

Grace’s Revelatory Power

Grace illuminates parental unity as the heart of the divine, transcending the deceptive veil by showcasing a relationship of profound intimacy and care. It doesn’t impose hierarchy but dissolves it, revealing the source as a loving parent in whose image we are formed, as in Ephesians 3:14-15, from whom every family derives its name. This power is relational and healing: grace exposes illusions of abandonment or unworthiness, inviting us into a secure bond where the false self’s fears melt away. Through this, grace fosters trust: it reshapes our inner dialogue from doubt to dialogue, where deceptive distortions give way to the warm assurance of parental oneness.

Contemplative Depth

Engage this through a heartfelt meditation: focus on the deceptive veil’s portrayal of the divine parent—perhaps as distant or demanding—and gently question it. Invite grace to reveal true unity: in the stillness, feel the parental embrace envelop you, dissolving barriers with tender warmth. As depth emerges, sense the intimacy: the mind’s projections fade, the heart opens to unconditional love, and a profound familial oneness blooms. This practice uncovers emotional layers: wounds from human experiences heal, illusions of isolation transform into belonging, and the soul nestles in the divine parent’s eternal hold. Grace facilitates this with nurturing presence, turning contemplation into a homecoming, where deceptive veils yield to the parental unity’s truth of non-dual kinship, alive with affectionate flow.

Applying the Insight

Embody this unity daily: in self-talk or relationships, reflect grace’s parental care, fostering compassion that mirrors divine oneness.

Daily Reflection Prompt
