Day 2: Grace Initiating Change<\/h2>\n

Today’s Veil to Pierce<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You have been taught that change is something you must initiate.
\nThat teaching is Maya at its most persistent.<\/p>\n

The false self turns inner growth into another performance \u2014 something you must manage, track, and achieve through willpower and discipline. It whispers that if you do not push hard enough, nothing will happen. This veil creates the illusion that grace is passive and you are the active agent. In our reflections, this distortion echoes the older brother\u2019s dutiful resentment in Luke 15 \u2014 the belief that the feast must be earned through effort rather than simply received.<\/p>\n

Grace does not wait for your initiative.
\nIt is the initiator.<\/p>\n

Grace’s Revelatory Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Grace initiates change from within, revealing Maya’s veil by showing that transformation is not something you manufacture but something you allow. It does not demand perfect conditions or heroic effort. It simply shines on what is already true, as in the prodigal\u2019s moment of \u201ccoming to himself\u201d (Luke 15:17), where grace met him in his lowest point and turned hunger into homecoming. This power is gentle and unstoppable: grace exposes the deceptive veil of self-powered growth, dissolving the illusion that you must become worthy before change can begin. Through this, grace fosters surrender: the false self\u2019s striving fades, allowing real transformation to arise as the natural outflow of remembering who you already are.<\/p>\n

Contemplative Depth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Take one area where you feel stuck or in need of change.
\nNot to fix it. Just to look at it.<\/p>\n

Feel the veil tighten \u2014 the subtle pressure to perform, the quiet assumption that nothing will shift unless you push harder. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.<\/p>\n

You do not need to generate the change.
\nYou only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone is already moving in you \u2014 right now, in this ordinary place of \u201cnot enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

The change is not a test.
\nIt is an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.<\/p>\n

Applying the Insight<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When the old pressure to \u201cmake yourself better\u201d arises, pause.
\nAsk yourself one quiet question:
\n\u201cAm I striving from fear, or resting in the Life already given?\u201d<\/p>\n

Then breathe.
\nThe answer usually changes everything.<\/p>\n
