Today’s Veil to Pierce<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You have been taught that every hardship must have an explanation \u2014 a reason, a lesson, a hidden purpose.
\nThat teaching is Maya at its most exhausting.
\nThe false self turns unexplained suffering into a riddle you must solve, creating the illusion that if you can just figure out why it is happening, the pain will become bearable or meaningful. This veil keeps you spinning in your head instead of resting in your heart. It whispers that the eternal life unveiled at Passover somehow does not apply when the reason is missing. In our reflections, this distortion echoes Job\u2019s friends, who could not sit in the ash heap without trying to explain it. Grace does not rush to explain. It simply sits down in the ash heap with you.<\/p>\n

Grace’s Revelatory Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Grace meets unexplained hardship with presence rather than explanation, revealing Maya’s veil by showing that not every pain needs a reason to be held by Love. It does not offer a tidy theological answer. It offers the same companionship that met the disciples on the Emmaus road \u2014 walking with them in their confusion until their eyes were opened. This power is humble and steady: grace exposes the deceptive veil of \u201cthis must mean something,\u201d dissolving the illusion that unexplained pain proves separation. Through this, grace cultivates trust: the false self\u2019s need to solve the riddle fades, allowing the soul to rest in the presence that holds every tear without needing to justify it.<\/p>\n

Contemplative Depth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Take one hardship that has no clear explanation.
\nNot to solve it. Just to be with it.<\/p>\n

Feel the veil tighten \u2014 the subtle pressure to find the reason, the quiet assumption that God must be teaching you something through this. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.<\/p>\n

You do not need to extract meaning from the pain.
\nYou only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone is already sitting with you in it.<\/p>\n

The hardship is not a riddle.
\nIt is an invitation to stop believing the story that pain proves separation.<\/p>\n

Applying the Insight<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When unexplained hardship arises and the mind begins searching for its reason, pause.
\nAsk yourself one quiet question:
\n\u201cAm I trying to explain this from fear, or resting in the Life already given?\u201d<\/p>\n

Then breathe.
\nThe answer usually changes everything.<\/p>\n
