Day 4: Holiness in Relationships<\/h2>\n

Today’s Veil to Pierce<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You have been taught that holiness in relationships means being the \u201cbetter\u201d person \u2014 more patient, more forgiving, more spiritual.
\nThat teaching is Maya wearing a relational mask.<\/p>\n

The false self turns every interaction into another arena for performance, where you must prove your growth by how well you handle others. It whispers that holiness is measured by how little you are affected by other people\u2019s brokenness. This veil creates the illusion that relationships are a test of your sanctification rather than a place where the eternal life unveiled at Passover can be expressed through you. In our reflections, this distortion echoes the older brother\u2019s refusal to celebrate his brother\u2019s return (Luke 15:28) \u2014 the belief that holiness requires keeping score rather than joining the feast.<\/p>\n

Grace does not make you holy in relationships.
\nIt reveals the holiness that is already present when you stop pretending to be separate.<\/p>\n

Grace’s Revelatory Power<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Grace reveals holiness in relationships as the natural expression of the Life that rose on Easter morning. It does not demand perfect behavior from you or others. It simply invites you to see every person as another expression of the same oneness. This power is relational and humbling: grace exposes the deceptive veil of \u201cI must be the spiritually mature one,\u201d dissolving the illusion that holiness is a role you play. Through this, grace fosters connection: the false self\u2019s comparative distortions fade, allowing relationships to become living expressions of the unity already awakened in you.<\/p>\n

Contemplative Depth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Take one current relationship that feels challenging.
\nNot to fix the other person. Just to look at it.<\/p>\n

Feel the veil tighten \u2014 the subtle pressure to be the \u201cbetter\u201d one, the quiet judgment, the assumption that your holiness depends on their behavior. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.
\nYou do not need to perform holiness.
\nYou only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone is already present in both of you \u2014 right now, in this ordinary relationship.<\/p>\n

Holiness in relationships is not a test.
\nIt is an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.<\/p>\n

Applying the Insight<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When a relationship feels heavy and the old pressure to \u201cbe the holy one\u201d arises, pause.
\nAsk yourself one quiet question:
\n\u201cAm I performing holiness from fear, or resting in the Life already given?\u201d<\/p>\n

Then breathe.
\nThe answer usually changes everything.<\/p>\n
