Maya Hiding Eternal Life in Rituals

The veil has many hooks to deal with.

M3:Week 3: Preparing for Passover’s Revelation

Day 1: Maya Hiding Eternal Life in Rituals

Today’s Veil to Pierce

As we begin Week 11, aligned with the sacred rhythm leading into Passover and Easter, we examine how Maya hides eternal life within rituals. This veil distorts sacred practices like the Passover lamb, blood on doorposts, and the shared meal into mere symbolic acts or historical reenactments. The false self reduces them to external obedience or cultural memory, creating illusions that eternal life is earned through ritual precision or limited to annual observance. Such deceptions obscure the deeper truth that the lamb was always a pointer to the inherent, ever-present Life of the divine essence. In our shared contemplations, this hiding echoes the Israelites’ initial bondage in Egypt, where rituals were given as temporary pointers, but grace now pierces to reveal Passover as the awakening to eternal life that was never lost—only veiled by Maya.

Grace’s Revelatory Power

Grace unveils eternal life hidden in rituals by transforming Passover from shadow to substance. It does not abolish the feast but fulfills it inwardly, as in 1 Corinthians 5:7’s declaration that “Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” Grace shows the ritual as a living invitation to recognize the Life already flowing through us. This power is revelatory and liberating: it exposes the deceptive reduction of rituals to duty or repetition, dissolving them to release the eternal life they always signified. Through this, grace fosters remembrance: the false self’s ritual-bound illusions fade, allowing the soul to live the Passover as constant awakening, where eternal life becomes the daily reality of oneness with the source.

Contemplative Depth

To prepare inwardly for this revelation, meditate on a personal ritual—perhaps a repeated prayer or habit—and observe Maya’s veil reducing it to mechanical form. Invite grace to reveal the hidden eternal life: in extended stillness, feel the ritual open—the veil thins, Life surges, and a profound timelessness emerges. As depth builds, sense the awakening: ritual’s emptiness dissolves, the heart fills with inherent vitality, and unity pulses as ever-present. This practice uncovers layers: attachments to form release, emotions of routine evolve into wonder, and the soul experiences Passover’s truth in the now. Grace illuminates this with Passover light, turning contemplation into a sacred preparation, where Maya’s veils of ritual hiding yield to eternal life’s truth of non-dual oneness, immediate and unending.

Applying the Insight

See rituals as pointers daily: in practices or traditions, let grace reveal eternal life, countering Maya’s reduction with unified awareness.
