Daily Sanctification Steps

The veil has many hooks to deal with.

Day 3: Daily Sanctification Steps

Today’s Veil to Pierce

You have been taught that sanctification is a long, hard road of moral improvement — something you must grind out day after day until you finally become worthy.
That teaching is Maya at its most patient.

The false self turns inner growth into another performance metric. It whispers that you are still “not there yet,” that every slip proves you are not serious, and that grace is only the starting line while you must run the rest of the race alone. This veil creates the illusion that sanctification is a slow march toward a distant God rather than the gradual remembering that you were never separate from the Life revealed at Passover.

Grace does not improve you.
It reveals you.

Grace’s Revelatory Power

Grace turns sanctification into simple daily steps of remembrance, revealing Maya’s veil by showing that the work is not becoming holy but stopping the belief that you are unholy. It does not demand heroic discipline but offers gentle, consistent invitation, as in the father’s daily watch for the prodigal (Luke 15). This power is patient and precise: grace exposes the deceptive veil of self-powered growth, dissolving the illusion that you must earn what has already been given. Through this, grace fosters ease: the false self’s striving fades, allowing sanctification to become the natural unfolding of the eternal life already awakened in you.

Contemplative Depth

Take one area where you still feel “not holy enough.”
Not to fix it. Just to look at it.

Feel the veil tighten — the subtle pressure to perform, the quiet assumption that you are still lacking, the mental checklist of what you must do to arrive. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.

You do not need to manufacture holiness.
You only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone is already moving in you — right now, in this ordinary place of “not enough.”

The steps are not a test.
They are an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.

Applying the Insight

When the old pressure of “I should be further along” arises, pause.
Ask yourself one quiet question:
“Am I striving from fear, or resting in the Life already given?”

Then take the next small step.
That is all grace has ever asked.

Daily Reflection Prompt

Choose one area where you feel “not there yet.” Sit with it for five minutes without trying to improve it. Notice where the veil tightens. Then ask: What if the eternal life revealed at Passover is already moving in this too? Write what arises.
