The veil has many hooks to deal with.
M6:Week 4: Grace Living in Abundance
Day 5: Grace in Shared Abundance
Today’s Veil to Pierce
You have been taught that abundance is a private blessing you must protect.
That teaching is the veil of illusion at its most isolating.
The false self turns every blessing into something to guard — what if there is not enough for me if I share? It whispers that generosity risks future lack. This veil creates the illusion that true abundance is hoarded rather than multiplied. In our shared contemplations, this distortion echoes the disciples wanting to send the crowds away instead of trusting the few loaves and fish in Jesus’ hands.
Grace does not call you to hoard abundance.
It calls you to release it so it can multiply.
Grace’s Revelatory Power
Grace multiplies shared abundance by revealing that the eternal pattern of Passover is marked by extravagant sharing. The father gave freely to both sons. The same Life that rolled away the stone fed thousands from almost nothing and still had baskets left over. This power is joyful and generative: grace exposes the deceptive veil of “I must protect what is mine,” dissolving the illusion that scarcity governs reality. Through this, grace restores open hands: the false self’s fearful clutching fades, allowing abundance to flow freely through you to others.
Contemplative Depth
Take one blessing or resource you feel tempted to guard closely.
Not to force giving. Just to look at it.
Feel the veil tighten — the subtle fear of future lack, the calculation of what you might lose, the assumption that sharing diminishes you. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.
You do not need to give everything away today.
You only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone multiplies what is released — right now, in this ordinary place.
Shared abundance is not risky.
It is an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.
Applying the Insight
When the urge to protect what you have rises and the old calculation begins, pause.
Ask yourself one quiet question:
“Am I guarding this from fear, or resting in the Life already given?”
Then breathe.
The answer usually changes everything.
Daily Reflection Prompt
Choose one blessing or resource in your life. Sit with it for five minutes without forcing action. Notice where the veil tightens. Then ask: What if the eternal pattern of Passover is inviting me to share in this abundance? Write what arises.
