This veil clings to “who we are as a people,” creating illusions that transformation requires collective effort or incremental reform rather than radical unveiling of the divine essence already present. Such deceptions maintain separation at a group level, portraying change as threatening rather than liberating. In our reflections, this transcendence aligns with the early church’s shift from old identities to new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), where grace pierced the apparent self of tradition and law to reveal shared essence.

Grace’s Revelatory Power
