Grace Fully Sent in the Body

The veil has many hooks to deal with.

M9:Week 3: Grace in the Sent Life of the Body

Day 7: Grace Fully Sent in the Body

Today’s Veil to Pierce

As we close Week 35, the old pull toward a settled, inward, results-driven life may still whisper.
That whisper is the final veil of illusion making its last stand.

The false self wants sentness to remain a special category — reserved for a few, activated only in dramatic moments, validated only by visible fruit. It whispers that ordinary presence, unnoticed faithfulness, and uncrossed nearby distances are not the real sent life. This veil creates the illusion that the steadfast love that holds the body is still waiting for a larger assignment. In our shared contemplations, this distortion echoes every community that speaks of mission while remaining essentially unmoved.

Grace does not leave the body half-sent.
It makes the body fully sent in the ordinary places where it already lives.

Grace’s Revelatory Power

Grace fully sent in the body reveals that the eternal root of Charis — the steadfast, covenantal love of God — has already placed the body in motion. This love does not wait for a future commissioning. Charis is this same sending love now visible across the whole week’s movement: being sent, ordinary witness, crossing nearby distances, remaining among those not yet named, unnoticed faithfulness, and bringing the world near. This power is complete and local: grace exposes the last deceptive veil of “we are not yet the sent ones,” dissolving the illusion that sentness is still ahead of us. Through this, grace restores true vocation: the false self’s postponement fades, allowing the body to live as one already sent.

Contemplative Depth

Take the entire movement of this week — sending, ordinary witness, nearby distances, remaining, unnoticed faithfulness, bringing the world near, fully sent.
Not to organize a strategy. Just to receive it.

Feel the veil tighten one last time — the subtle delay, the quiet preference for later, the assumption that the real sending has not yet begun. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.

You do not need a larger assignment before the body is sent.
You only need to notice that the steadfast love anchored before time has already sent the body, and Charis is making that sent life visible — right now, in these ordinary places.

Fully sent life is not future tense.
It is an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.

Applying the Insight

When the old postponement of sentness returns, pause.
Ask yourself one quiet question:
“Am I waiting for a larger calling from fear, or resting in the love already given?”

Then breathe.
The answer usually changes everything.

Daily Reflection Prompt

Sit with the sent life of the body for five minutes. Notice where the veil still whispers. Then ask: What if the body is already fully sent as Charis? Write what arises.
