Grace in Bold Steps

The veil has many hooks to deal with.

Day 3: Grace in Bold Steps

Today’s Veil to Pierce

You have been taught that bold steps require perfect certainty.
That teaching is the veil of illusion at its most cautious.

The false self insists you must have every detail worked out and every risk eliminated before you move. It whispers that boldness without a guarantee is foolishness. This veil creates the illusion that safety lies in endless preparation. In our shared contemplations, this distortion echoes the Israelites standing at the edge of the Jordan — the water was still flowing until the priests stepped in.

Grace does not demand certainty before boldness.
It gives courage for the step.

Grace’s Revelatory Power

Grace empowers bold steps by revealing that the eternal pattern of Passover is walked one faithful step at a time. The waters did not part until the people moved. The same Life that rolled away the stone now invites you forward even when the path is not fully clear. This power is strengthening and steady: grace exposes the deceptive veil of “I need more assurance first,” dissolving the illusion that caution is always wisdom. Through this, grace restores movement: the false self’s paralysis fades, allowing you to take bold steps as one already held by the Life that goes before you.

Contemplative Depth

Take one bold step that has been stirring in you.
Not to analyze every outcome. Just to look at it.

Feel the veil tighten — the demand for guarantees, the fear of what might go wrong, the assumption that you are not ready. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.

You do not need every answer before you move.
You only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone is already supporting this step — right now, as you consider it.

Bold steps are not reckless.
They are an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.

Applying the Insight

When a bold step feels risky and the old demand for certainty rises, pause.
Ask yourself one quiet question:
“Am I waiting for fear to release me, or resting in the Life already given?”

Then breathe.
The answer usually changes everything.

Daily Reflection Prompt

Choose one bold step stirring in you. Sit with it for five minutes without demanding full assurance. Notice where the veil tightens. Then ask: What if the eternal pattern of Passover is already parting the way? Write what arises.
