The veil has many hooks to deal with.
M6:Week 4: Grace Living in Abundance
Day 1: Grace in Daily Provision
Today’s Veil to Pierce
You have been taught that provision is something you must secure through effort and worry.
That teaching is the veil of illusion at its most anxious.
The false self scans the horizon for lack and turns every need into evidence that you must hustle harder. It whispers that abundance is for tomorrow, never for today. This veil creates the illusion that God’s care is unreliable. In our shared contemplations, this distortion echoes the Israelites waking each morning to find manna waiting on the ground — enough for that day alone.
Grace does not call you to secure your own provision.
It invites you to receive what is already given.
Grace’s Revelatory Power
Grace reveals daily provision by showing that the eternal pattern of Passover includes daily bread. The same Life that rolled away the stone fed five thousand with a few loaves and fish, and it still feeds you today. This power is steady and generous: grace exposes the deceptive veil of “I must make sure I have enough,” dissolving the illusion that scarcity is the true reality. Through this, grace restores trust: the false self’s anxious striving fades, allowing you to live as one already cared for.
Contemplative Depth
Take one area where you feel concern about provision — time, resources, energy, or support.
Not to solve it. Just to look at it.
Feel the veil tighten — the subtle worry, the mental calculations, the assumption that you must carry this alone. Then let grace do what it does best: nothing dramatic. Just a gentle turn of attention.
You do not need to secure tomorrow today.
You only need to notice that the same Life that rolled away the stone is already providing for this day.
Daily provision is not uncertain.
It is an invitation to stop resisting what is already true.
Applying the Insight
When worry about provision arises and the old striving begins, pause.
Ask yourself one quiet question:
“Am I trying to secure my life from fear, or resting in the Life already given?”
Then breathe.
The answer usually changes everything.
Daily Reflection Prompt
Choose one area of current need. Sit with it for five minutes without trying to fix it. Notice where the veil tightens. Then ask: What if the eternal pattern of Passover is already providing for me today? Write what arises.
